I feel as though the Anabaptists as well as whom they call the "English" that they all came into major contact with about five days ago, like myself and many others who are Christians are taught to believe that although we will grieve for them, their children will be in a better place, however I give them wholehearted credit for doing what they are doing....forgiving the very man that did what he did with these precious children.
Though a Christian, I myself have been taught through the Word of God that if I myself cannot personally bring myself to forgive this man for what he did, I can turn it over to our Lord & Saviour, Jesus as it is said in Scripture that no one comes to the Father, meaning God before he or she prays to the Son.
On a Personal note, I am doing Intercessory Prayer that the Father, God eases the grieving that will take place and sends the Holy Spirit to wrap his Holy Arms around the Amish as well as those that are praying for them.
I truly hope I did not bore you, just a couple of thoughts from my life and living knowing some of the Amish women in the Lancaster County area here in Pennslyvania and have always treated them with the true respect that is due them.
I became friendly with them when I used to have lunch or dinner in one of their many fine restraurants and shopped for my kitchen in one of their numerous stores.
May God continue to Bless them and us as well.
Joanie
