Tom Russell said in  his forecast that Hurricane Ike will not strike the coast.  He said "that's good news".  Is certainly is, but all other forcasters are not predicting that including The Weather Channel.  I hope Tom is right because I'm vacationing on the Outerbanks next week.  Does Tom still think Ike will not be a threat?

Ike will continue on it's western path thru the Bahamas and into South Florida.  Tues/Wed of next week a strong cold front will dive south.  Ike will get caught up in this front and move north and east back across Florida but then safely out to see.  That's why we won't be impacted by Ike here in PA.
