How sad people get some kind of joy here in showing animals they abused and killed.  No killings are worth bragging about.  Its sick we can't watch the news this time of year without all the stations celebrating the violence and showing us bloody dead deer.  I wish I didn't live in this sick state.

Nobody is forcing anybody to look at the photos/posts.  There's no need to dismiss someone elses hobby just because you don't share it.

Coming from a family of many hunters, I see hunting as not only a sport, but a way to provide food for one's family and as a way to regulate the deer population.  Sure, they're beautiful to look at, but if left to grow, the deer population would reak havoc on farmers crops, and other property.  Besides, hasen't man always relied on deer and other wildlife for food?

Like I often tell the PRESCHOOLERS that I teach, "If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all!"

You don't like hunting?  Don't hunt.

You don't like gambling?  Don't gamble.

You don't like abortion?  Don't have one.

You don't like minding your own business?  You have no legal "standing" to condemn activities of others which do not directly affect yourself.  You have opinions.  Everyone has one.

Congratualtions to my fellow hunters... I've had a great time so far this rifle season. At 9:30 Monday morning, I shot a nice doe near my camp in Centre County. Besides a likely corn-fed doethat I got several years ago near my parents' house in Halifax, its probably the biggest I've gotten yet, and not bad for a mountain deer. Unfortunatley, I was unable to help my 14-year-old cousin bag his first deer. We hunted for 11 hours on Thursday, and didn't even see a tail in the distance. Hopefully we'll have better luck next week!
