I have two children that are attending schools in the Littlestown School District. The only communication that I have received from the school board in regards to the upcoming strike was their position on how the union demands would put a strain on the economic position of the school board. No communication was ever received that either confirmed or denied the upcoming teachers strike. If it would not been for CBS 21 news, I would have unknowing sent my two children off to school Monday morning. I feel that as a tax payer and a parent I deserved the right to be fully informed by my school district personally of the upcoming teachers strike and school closing.
