Stupid repeats!

Why on Earth do they have repeats on like The Late Show with David Letterman?? I h8 that. Sorry, I had to get it out...

Why does CBS have promo's on for new episodes and show repeats instead?

Yestersday December 18 NCIS was suppose to be a new episode. But it was a repeat where the team thought Tony had died. Tonight Criminal Minds also was to be new and again it was a repeat. It was the episode that a kidnaper puts up posters of missing women. The only problem they were not missing. Tonight's episode was to be about two girls that get kidnaped and one is killed. The new Criminal Profiler's real life daughter was to be a guest in the show. What is the point of showing promo's if they can't show the right episode? Another odd thing this website has two different listing. In their own tv guide they state tonight show is a repeat. But if you go to the bottom left of the screen it describes the new episode. What gives?

What shows will you miss most?

Do you side with the WGA or the AMPTP?

When will it all end?!!

Personally, I'm miserable that Heroes is gone. It's lame that we probably won't be seeing the final episodes of Scrubs, or new episodes of the other NBC Thursday night lineup.

I'll miss House a lot once the new episodes dry up. One of the best shows on television...

How I Met Your Mother is pretty funny, on the CBS side. Big Bang Theory was a silly distraction, hopefully they'll give it another chance. I don't watch much else on CBS, and I never watch ABC.

Cable news, NBC and FOX make up most of my TV week, so...who knows?

CBS Considering 'Jericho' Revival

After being bombarded with thousands of pounds of nuts, CBS is close to giving "Jericho" fans a second season of the apocalyptic drama.

Sources close to the production said the network is near a deal with "Jericho's" producers to bring the show back for midseason.

Passionate fans have mailed boxes of peanuts to CBS ever since it was announced that "Jericho" wouldn't be picked up for a second season. The nuts are a reference to the show's cliffhanger season finale, which included a reference to the Battle of Bastogne during World War II. During the battle, surrounded and outnumbered Allied troops gave the one-word reply "Nuts" to German forces demanding their surrender. According to "Nuts for Jericho" campaign partner nutsonline.com, about 39,000 pounds of peanuts have been sent to CBS executives.

"Jericho" averaged a 2.8 rating among adults 18 to 49, according to Nielsen, though the ratings fell off sharply after its midseason hiatus. Nonetheless, CBS appreciated the program for its younger-skewing demographics and heavy online interest.

Bringing back the series in midseason would allow CBS to run a second season straight through without repeats-just like Fox's "24" and ABC's "Lost" next year.

CBS had no comment.

If you watched, what did you think?

Highlights, lowlights?

I thought Conan was brilliant, as usual. The Jon Stewart/Steven Colbert bit was great.

Barry Manilow is always a lowlight to me, regardless of the context.

The Office is a great show and deserved its award, and I'm glad to see 24 taken seriously...though I'm more of a House fan, personally.

Another lowlight...why can't the head of the TV Academy read off a teleprompter?

Relationships with the "competition"

I didn't know where to ask this, so I thought I would in the TV category...

I would imagine that the suits at 21 and the other local stations with newscasts are very competition minded. But one thing I've always wondered is if relationships (and by "relationship", I don't necessarily mean a romantic one...I also include friendship in there too) are ever established by reporters between stations, like if some of the reporters for 21 are friends with some of the other reporters for the other local stations.
