My complaint to this matter is why was i able to drive off the lot with no Official Loan or Bank assigned. Im willing to pay for the vehicle per month . if i return the vehicle now , I stuck with no vehicle and the Community Chevrolet has jeopardized my Job. My suggestion to the dealer would be well they made the mistake by letting the vehicle go without a loan approved then they need to cover as a inhouse loan and i pay the dealer. or with the way the laws are they should just eat the amount owed. No wonder why GM is going bankrupt with dealers like these people just giving cars away without a loan. I donot need this problem, I work very hard for a Living, I work 14 to 20 hours a day just to struggle. and this Dealership is trying to make my life a living hell. If GM allows dealers to conduct like tthis then they deserve to go bankrupt, because they are nothing but ***. Especially when i have been a loyal Chevy customer for my years alive. Still having a bad taste in my mouth from the CC lies, I went down the road to CarMax for an appraisal. In the 2 years of ownership I had very low miles and no dents, scratches. When I got the CarMax report the quote was $15,000 below wholesale list. I ***. I asked why so low. The appraiser opened the engine compartment hood and pointed out where the front end was replaced, clearly the vehicle was in a major accident or roll over. COMMUNUITY CHEVROLET FAILED TO DISCLOSE THE ACCIDENT and repair as required by law. I think you can see where we are going here. As a direct result of their actions I was forced to take a major hit. But the next loss was to soon come. The van I had purchased had very little use. About 2500 miles over a two year period. I had paid $17,000, a bit high but not a big deal. I went to return it and get a buy-back quote and the quote they gave me was an astonishing $6500.00. I was rather vocal about the $10,500 loss over 2 years. The used car buyer said that is what he could pay and pointed out that he would have to spend thousands on refurbishment. This was a lie as well. Before going to CC I took the van to CarMax (recall they are only a mile away) and thet estimated $9500.00. I is clear that COMMUNITY CHVROLET in Burbank is the worst plkace to do business with. They Lie. They Mislead. They take advantage. And they seem to be irreverent of the laws that govern their industry. What's next? Selling stolen cars? I wouldn't put it past them. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. DISCOURAGE ANYONE YOU KNOW (except your enemies) FROM GOING TO THESE VERY BAD PEOPLE. JOIN A PETITION TO HAVE GM REMOVE THEIR DEALERSHIP. Terrorism and Our Airlines - Lighters are OK Now.

I had the pleasure of flying the friendly skies of Southwest Airlines this past week, and am puzzled by a few things. We were on "high alert", yet Southwest did not ask to see my driver's license when getting my boarding pass or checking my luggage. There was also a hepatitis outbreak stemming out from Las Vegas (where Southwest stopped), yet there was not covering of the flight attendants' hands nor was or is there any requirement for filthy baby diapers to be covered with plastic bags, and these were openly displayed in the restrooms with no coverings whatsoever. Yet the "little people" such as you and I are required to wear seatbelts and pick up our dog poop with plastic bags on the sidewalks. My guess is because we do not generate the revenue Las Vegas does, we simply do not count. With celebrities now using Southwest, we know they control this country regardless who gets killed.

Southwest also permitted me to carry a cigarette lighter onboard, and when questioned about it, they said the TSA said it is "ok now". But I do see another plane was hijacked elsewhere, so I guess the TSA knew we were ok.

Southwest is now spewing jet fuels into our air and water supplies, yet I'm puzzled why flight fares have not increased, yet us little guys' gas for our cars to get to work have skyrocketed. But I guess we don't generate the revenue Las Vegas does, although we are the fools that continue to go there.

In many communities throughout the nation, our electric and heating power is now being calibrated so only a few breakers work in our homes at a time, yet the Las Vegas beacons are shining as bright as ever. And Southwest has the audacity to leave "Inside/Outside" magazines around boasting concerns for the environment and the Southwest states - hypocracy at it's best.

But as always, our government has our best interests at heart.

Thank you, Southwest, for refusing to let me speak with a Supervisor upon our return trip, and for damaging my luggage but refusing to address the issue. Thank you for damaging the contents of my luggage, although you refused to address the issue. Thank you, Southwest, for making that flight our last flight, and thank you, TSA, for ensuring our safety in the skies and keeping our air and water safe, warm and dry.

But we did arrive on time which was great.

Working for Charter Communications

When I was working at Charter Communications, it was a 7 story all-glass building - very pretty and was built in 2000 - . When the fire alarms went off, we were not always permitted to leave the phones, and could generally only do so if a Supervisor told us we could leave. It was tough to find a Sup on weekends, though. Sometimes they evacuated us outside, sometimes they didn't. They never told us the reasons for all the alarms, although a very nice young firefighter who I spoke with said it was a faulty sprinkler system, which never went off. Ever. Except once, and as I understand it, that was the last time. But they did cover the computers, which was good because they were Dells, after all.

There was no order to the evacuations, and panicked kids - mostly high school graduates and some that didn't even graduate were saying it was chaos. Some just sat on the curb and smoked cigarettes because they became desensitized and traumatized. Myself, I needed to prove I could return to work and not let everyone down.

When the fire alarms went off we were not permitted to use the elevator.

I was lucky because of a hearing deficit for which I was required to provide documentation, I was permitted to sit where I chose. So it was on the 3rd floor by a window, with a grass lawn below. I figured I could survive that jump as tough as I have learned to be. I sized up the quality of the panes and figured I could toss my chair through the window. Maybe the firefighters would have one of those things on TV they catch people with. But as I said, they stopped coming after a while and I also happened to choose a seat where they drove up front.

There was a young woman on the floor above me in a wheelchair. I prayed for my safety and the safety of my friends, and of course my cats and family, but most especially those above me who could not walk down those stairs.

Tornadoes - we have them down here in Kentucky. Lots of em. When the tornado sirens would go off, sometimes we were permitted to leave, sometimes we weren't. Sometimes they evacuated us to the basement, sometimes they didn't. The first time it happened I just left and drrove home, thinking that my chances of survival were greater meeting a tornado on the Gene Snyder freeway than in that building, and on the Gene Snyder, if you''re doing 80 you need to be in the slow lane. I was penalized for leaving that night. But there was a 100' high crane boom eye-to-eye with me a couple hundred yards away outside, and that thing waved in the wind like the World Trade Center used to

You learned quickly to ignore the strobes and the sirens. Charter did, after all, want a genuine focus on the customer, and I always tried to be loyal to whomever signed my paychecks - I finally received my final commission check from April 2007 last week. Funniest thing - on the rare occasion we were evacuated, I happened to be in the lunch room having my dinner by myself. Since that was a frequent occurrence I just stayed in my own little world reading the paper. I didn't realize until I'd gotten back upstairs they had been evacuated to the basement and let back up again, and those strobes were kind of like elevator music to us after a while, except those who suffered epileptic seizures.

No one even knew I was missing, and no one checked the lunch rooms. Whatever.

So we prayed for ourselves, our friends and our familes, but maybe we should have been praying for Charter's customers since they still have to deal with them.

People used to smoke upstairs. I did bring it to management's attention. Didn't stop it though. Thats ripe.

Funny too because now I work for a company that makes alarms, and when they test them I do not even notice it. Just like a Veteran, some sounds you know to listen for and some you learn to tune out.

Being from the state I was, I was well familiar with corruption. Having had an honest Fire Chief for a significant other for a good number of years, I was also quite attuned to fire safety, having heard the horror stories of trapped buddies who burned to death, and what it was like on 9/11. I actually have not watched TV since that date. Having been a municapal inspector I was also quite attuned to what constituted an honest inspector and what didn't. Funny that the country jokes about corruption in New Jersey. But most New Jersey buildings are safe now to the best of my knowledge.

The firefighters, after all, had to follow orders, as did we, or we would lose our jobs because those that spoke out were quickly terminated (fired).

This particular call center in Kentucky employs close to 800 kids to the best of my knowledge - they are after all, entry level positions. Do you really understand why your telephone support is outsourced? India has safety standards for buildings such as this. I don't see any around here, but hey, maybe that's just me.

So what have we learned since 9/11? Not much, in my opinion. Except how to ignore even more than we did before.

I just had to let it out that jesse spielman is a digrace as a soldier and a human being if thats what you would like to call him? He definitely deserves whatever he gets. There was certainly no reason for what he did to those poor people that had nothing to do with the war there, it was very senseless and how he ever became a so called us soldier is beyond me. nothing would please me more than for him to be staring through bars for the rest of his life. my last comment is that he makes me sick and you are digusting!

Since the FDA refuses to disclose the names of the companies the birds and pigs were sold to, it's highly unlikely they will disclose where the fish will go, or have went, as well. Since the fish industry doesn't seem to be a major political contributor, we may get luckier on that one. Let's pray not into baby food or back into pet food again so we have to start the loop all over again.

This week the world witnessed an act of hatred and evil. Killer Cho Seung-Hu murdered 32 people on Monday including himself, and it didn't take long for the media frenzy to begin.

Media organizations from all over the world converged on Blacksburg Virginia to cover the event. After all it was the deadliest school shooting in American history. But how should these events be covered?

Recently the news broke that NBC received a special manifesto delivered by the killer. NBC decided to air exclusive video and pictures they received, and since then there has been tremendous fallout surrounding the decision.

The news media is in the tricky business of providing information to the public while still respecting the values of the community. If you are the Executive Producer of the Nightly News with Brian Williams what do you do in this situation?

There are two schools of thought on this issue. First off your organization has exclusive information on a story that the public has demanded to know more information about. So why not release as much information as possible on the shooting? After all you are in the news gathering business. Don’t you think that if NBC decided not to release the information they would be looked at as censors?

The other thought would be to release no material or very little material. Only a select few photos or movie clips with the thought that grieving families might possibly see this. This is more of a “high-road” approach.

Members of the media battle with these questions constantly. On one hand you are outlets of public service while on the other hand you have to play the role of “parent” to the community.

So I am interested to know what you think. What decisions would you have made in this situation? Was NBC’s coverage sufficient? Should they have done more or less?

WASHINGTON Victims of the major storm affecting several Northeastern states on Monday, April 16 will have two additional days to file their tax returns beyond the April 17 tax deadline, the Internal Revenue Service announced today.

Taxpayers directly impacted by the storm have until midnight April 19 to meet their tax filing obligations without incurring late filing and payment penalties.

Across the Northeast, there have been power outages and public transportation problems making it difficult in some cases, if not impossible, for some taxpayers and tax professionals to meet the April 17 filing deadline.

Because this unusually forceful storm hit within 24 hours of the filing deadline, we are giving affected taxpayers 48 additional hours, IRS Commissioner Mark W. Everson said.

Affected taxpayers can mark their paper tax returns with the words April 16 Storm. Taxpayers who e-file their returns can use their softwares disaster feature, if available.

Taxpayers can keep up to date by visiting the IRS.gov Web site and clicking on Newsroom.

Stryker Brigade Buildup

I would like to address the topic of the so-called souped-up 70 ton tanks called Strykers. The Army wants everyone to believe that these vehicles are very safe for soldiers to be inside of while deployed in Iraq.

They have failed to tell everyone how many Strykers have been destroyed in Iraq by IEDs and RPGs. All of the men are in danger if the vehicle is parked on top of an IED. With an incoming RPG can cause great harm to the soldiers inside of the Stryker; even death.

The Army has also failed to mention how many soldiers have been killed inside of the Strykers.

If the Styker Force is the one of the most elite groups, it's because of their bravery and stealth on the streets. God bless them all!

Not real encouraging news for expectant parents, since this is the company that took two weeks after the initial pet food recall from Menu foods to realize they, Nestle-Purina, were also peddling the contaminated wheat gluten in their "quality" product that was sickening and killing pets throughout the country.

One can only guess the monies saved in purchasing discount imported wheat gluten (and who knows what else) enabled a 5.5 billion cash purchase of a baby food company.

Me thinks pet owners will not be the only ones making their own foods for the next few years.

The announcement from a senior administration official came in advance of President Bush's speech from the White House on how to deal with captured terror suspects. It's the first time the government has admitted that the secret CIA prisons exist.

Conjoined Twin separation: How do you measure success?

Tonight they announced that there has been a "successful" separation of some conjoined twins. The little girls each got one leg, half of an intestinal system, and only one got a kidney. The other will have to wait for a kidney transplant from her mother.

I hope it works out, but somehow this doesn't seem like success.
