Thanks for posting this information!!! It is great to see that the truth about scumbag John A. Walton has hit his own local press in Dallas, Texas!!!!! I know darn well he never thought it would come to this and, for sure, he is extremely angry about the local coverage in his own area!!!!!!!!!!

After all, Walton has been involved with many organizations in the Dallas, Texas area. He formerly served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy, which regulates the practice of public accountants and administers the certified public accountant exam in Texas. He holds memberships in the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD)--holding several NASD licenses, the Dallas Black Chamber of Commerce, and the Young President's Organization and serves as a volunteer with the Dallas Historical Society, the African American Museum of Dallas, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas, and the Boy Scouts of America. Walton had contracts with the Texas Public Finance Authority and the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, among others and handled equity transactions for Southwest Airlines, Kimberly Clark, Exxon, and other corporations. He is also a graduate of Texas Southern University with a B.B.A. in Accounting. I wonder what all of those organizations think of that piece of garbage now???

As chase88 stated, the above link is a "must see" and it even shows Walton's evasive tactics with the CBS 21 News cameraperson. Please be sure to not only read the article, but to click on the "video" at the top-right corner of the webpage. I see from the video clip that Walton has a nice, white, beautifully cared for home that is HUGE and a sleek-looking Porsche in his garage. Hopefully he will lose some of his wealth in the upcoming lawsuit against him!!!!! (We need to find out when, where, and what time the proceedings will be conducted so TAD employees can attend!!!!!)

Since two prominent public officials (thanks again, PA Representative Mark Cohen and PA Attorney General Tom Corbett) have taken up arms against John A. Walton, Benjamin C. Frazier, and Anne C. Richie, I expect others in positions of power to do likewise, hopefully soon!!! I believe the best is yet to come, including more lawsuits, addition fines and penalties, and, if we are lucky, jail time!!!!!!!!!!

I just want to say that I am so proud of the TAD employees who took a stand and stuck their neck out in trying to seek justice against seemingly great odds!!! I am proud of the employees who kept pushing, who kept fighting, and who refused to quit or give in to those individuals and groups seeking to appease the workers, seeking to quash the story, or threatening action against them!!! I am proud of the people who took the time and effort to contribute posts in this forum, which kept the story alive!!! To me, you are all heroes!!!!!!!!!!

That was a very nice piece you did down there in Dallas, with the corrupt JOHN WALTON  !!!

I said before he would try to blame the economy, for the pilage and financial distruction of TAD.

This company was run into finical crisis and ruined by upper management, with its finicial dealings and pratices, years before this recession even started, we as employees, have in no way, personely put this company in its banckrupt situation, in fact more the opposite, most broke our backs trying to help them, help themselves, to no avail.

What a joke, keep digging CBS news 21, there are alot of skeleton's left behind in the name of JOHN WALTON and his riches.

I am sure there are more company's he and his corrupt croonies have done this to, including the Spring Plant in Livonia, Michigan.

I can't believe he has the gall, to blame the Insurance company for his lack of payments and the economy on the financial crisis TAD itself created.

Yea, this is where we are going to see just how much this ***, blew smoke up the Patriot News asses about this company comming back, with a loan.

Who in there right mind would loan these crooks more money when they haven't paid one vendor or supplier a penny in the past 2 years !!!!!

Go ahead Harrisburg, give these crooks another Grant and Free Taxes for 5 years !!!

Just remember this place was ran into the ground intentionally and was in finacial bankruptcy 8 months to a year before there even was a recession.

Lets put these crooks away where they belong ...John Walton ..Anne Ritchy..and Ben Frazier...and lets not forget the plant manager Tom Gardner. 

let's get the prosecution on the ball, and put these crooks in jail !!!!

Before they walk away with all the money and laugh at Harrisburg all the way home, with bulging pockets, just like the other plants they ran into the ground, prior to this one, with their personel agenda and finacial greed !!

First off let me say im very happy that Corbett has filed a lawsuit against Walton. That being said, I find it to be a slap in the face that the only reason Corbett is doing anything is because the media brought this to light on the news and he is running for Governor. His office was the very first place I filed a report to and they told me they couldn't do anything about it that I should contact the police because it was considered a theft. Funny how things can change when votes are are at stake, isn't it?

Diamond, I couldn't agree with you more.  Politicians only jump when large blocks of votes are involved or the media jumps into the fray.  I also sent a letter to the AG several months ago. 

However, I also hope that new laws to protect workers from Corporate abuse will come out of this.  But, I haven't heard any more about that either.

Also, I can't help wondering why so few people showed up at the court hearings and other channel 21 events!  After all, the bigger the group, the bigger the bang!  My hat goes off to the few people that are sticking with this thing until the end.  And, also CBS 21 News for their support and work in this matter.

 

 

I am sorry for all of you people who were laid of by my Father (John Walton). I know that everyone was working to put food on the table, but so was my father. He tries hard to please and  not hurt. I know everyone is fustrated, but so is my father. We use our money wisely, we dont just take your money and spend it on a yahct or a mansion, i only have 1 house, no boat. Like i said i apologize but he had no choice.

Your father sure did talk big when he bought the place.  I am sure he is not eating HOT DOGS. I am sure he owns his own home and is not driving a 12 year old car. Thank God he did not get his hands on the other company he was interested in and the 100 + people over there are working.

Do you realize how many lives your father has ruined, not only with this company but other companies he has put in the ground? Last summer, money was taken out of employee paychecks to pay for AFLAC insurance. The company did not pay AFLAC for 3 months. Payment was not made to AFLAC until the employees raised hell after they got cancellation notices. Employees paid for their own vision and dental insurance to help this company. Employees also paid for their own steel toe safety shoes and supplies, including toilet paper, soap and paper towels because TAD management said they could not afford them.

This company went under because of total mismanagement. Mr. Walton should have changed his quarterback long ago. DO NOT IN THE FUTURE, HIRE YOUR FRIENDS OR YOUR WIFE'S FRIENDS TO RUN YOUR BUSINESS!!

You father's company, Turbine Airfoil Design, Harrisburg, PA, still owes employees for 11 days pay, vacation time and personal time, but I am sure that they will never get what is owed them. Blue Cross stepped in and is trying to help people who were stuck with huge medical bills because TAD did not pay the Blue Cross Premium. One person's cancer treatment was cancelled because of this. People were forced into retirement and others can't find jobs.

I hope your father is the decent man you say he is and hires someone for the personal office of TAD long enough for the employees to get their personal records, employee wage records and whatever other information they need including their W2's. Please tell your father to have Ann answer the phone when the union lawyer or union president calls, we need answers to some very important questions.

Oh, and Merry Christmas, I am sure your Christmas will be a whole lot better than the former employees of Turbine Arifoil Design, Harrisburg, PA

 

 

 

lwalton, it is nice of you to post and take your father's side. any good son or daughter would do so. do not forget that there is a local Texas news clip floating around, and we seen the house and cars that your father owns. i am sure it is one of many.....

i think your father only feels bad because he got caught, as most criminals do. if he was a decent man, he would have been up front and honest with the employees and let them make their own educated decisions on such things as insurance.

like lucky said, taking money from the union, child support, aflac, health insurance and spending it on other things is surely not the act of a decent human being.

maybe you are not aware of the last few people that got stuck working there to the bitter end, thinking they were doing a good thing to help the company get back on it's feet, only to not even get paid. so we worked for free.

if your father was any sort of 'decent' man, he would try to contact every employee he owes something to, and make good on it. i don't care if he has to refinance the house, or sell a few cars, like some of us are having to do? i already know of one ex TAD worker who is forclosing on their house, and 2 more who are having their vehicles repossessed. these are all people who are owed a few week's pay. i bet that money would come in handy right about now, you think? these are only a few cases, as i am sure there are more who are just too embarrassed to tell anyone.

we are living in the wake of a human 'created' cyclone, that has destroyed many lives in it's path. happy holidays.

You do not want to get involved in this, I will tell you that now. I have lost everything because of that man you call your father. And he knew what he was doing. As always, I am a fan of your posts. No beating around the bush. I will refrain from commenting myself. I would hope he gets your point, then again I find it hard to give him that much credit since he has the gull to say his father is a "decent" man. He obviously doesn't know the meaning of the word.

No my dad is a decent man, my husband is a decent man, as are you Diamond. You all gave your 100% right to the end thinking it was appreciated and made a difference. Those are the actions of decent men.

Interesting that it would take any of his family members this long to back him anyway, months after the fact..seems odd don't ya think? If someone would have been making comments about any of my family that he claims are not true, I would have defended them long ago.

Then again, we have to consider the source. Anyone who can do what Walton did could not have tought their kids right from wrong.
