Jer is the only reason TAD has lasted as long as it did! He is the reason we got payed alot of times. If only Ben would have watched and learned from Jer we would still have jobs, but instead he left that numbnut Tom do whatever he wanted and it screwed us all.

 

Once again "num nut" a TAD classic!

I know I have a colorful vocabulary, but i'm right about Jer and Tom.

Well this news report is now on u tube. And I do not know who * looking around* but someone sent the link and a little story to fox news.

As far as the union goes. It is not so much the blame of our reps but rather the political tape that has to be gone through. I can tell you this as a fact, When calls were made to government sorces as soon as they found out we were union they would not help. Or that it would take about 2 years to fix.

In other words bc of our union ( not the reps ) our hands are tied. Please believe me when I say that we are doing all we can to get the employees takin care of. That was my goal all along. I did not do this out of vengence, or any of the sort. I just want things right, and the lies to stop once and for all. Thanks for keeping this thing going guys and gals.

I understand red tape and i'm not saying unions are bad the thing i'm a little bitter about is that when I e-mailed the regional office they didn't even have the decency to even reply and this isn't the only time this has happened. The old union reps. were no better than regional, all I ever got out of them when I had problems was "I'll get back to you" and they never did. I also just want the wrongs righted but I was never able to get anybody to listen, i'm very happy you were able and maybe we all won't get stuck with these bills.

as far as jer being the only reason we made it so far and hes a no bs guy and told g.e the truth i can think of only 1 person that dealt with g.e and knew  how to do his job and didnt pull no strings or never allowed ben or tom to push the manipulate him.For the record check out who got more money out of mr and got a million dollar order [501] first time run out the door and guess who got the boot out the door first because he wasnt a suck up!!!!!

Great job CBS 21 news and also to the three people that made this happen. Great job!!

This post is to all of those who are blaming the union for the unfortunate situation with TAD.  You have no idea of what good the union has done for a lot of the employees of TAD over the last 10 years.  We have gone through negotiations resulting in the good insurance that was had by all (until the company stopped paying the premiums).  Let it be known that we had no-cost insurance for many years after most companies began requiring their employees to pay a percentage.  Those same negotiations brought about small wage increases plus other benefits.  We have participated in arbitrations resulting in a few people getting paid large sums of money.  We have filed grievances based on incidents that occured in the workplace.  Although not winning all of them, we were able to win some.

In response to the unpaid union dues by the two individuals, this situation was reported to the International and countless threats were made to the company.  Our last threat of fraud prompted them to pay the unpaid dues.  This situation has been resolved.  Please remember, resolutions do not happen overnight.  Much research and investigation must go into every claim, grievance and complaint filed.  Just because you are not hearing anything now does not mean that nothing is happening.

This situation did not come about because our workers were not working hard.  This situation came about because the company was not capable of managing a workplace.

Aerrial, Jer was an outstanding worker as were many others.  He was a great welder and got the jobs done.  We did make payrolls through the efforts of his work (Hats off to him).

Every job performed by the union is done without compensation.  There are countless hours outside of the workplace that is spent doing union duties.  Please remember, the same hardships that you are facing now, we are also facing.  Instead of placing blame on the union, the blame needs to be placed on the company.

I'm not posting this to hurt others who have posted or to change your opinons about unions.  I am posting this to defend my position as a former union officer who has done the best possible job along with the other officers to do what was best for the employees.

Ron you old dog. If you look up the page a bit I was in defense of you guys. At first I was complaining about the union this the union that, but as soon as I and a few others took up the matters outside of the union I quickly realized that You all were doing what you could. I know that not all agree with me but plz think for a moment you all. How many of you tried to do something and was turned away? Now as I stated before, I do not fully blame the reps for what happened. The blame lies with the company. Even now they violate our contract by calling Baker back. Jan has much more sinority than he but I see no Jan. I also see a bunch of posts about Tom. You guys also have to look at his side of things. I am not defending him in any way but, He takes orders as we all did. He may have lacked in ppl skills but he tried to do what he thought was right with what he had. I do not agree with much of what he did, plz don't get me wrong. However the point is he was (is) stuck in the same boat we all were in. He just tried to work with tools he did not have like the rest of us.

I will prob. get slammed for that but oh well, I have always spoken what I feel when I feel right about it. Tell hoy I hope he feels better and if anyone knows how to get hold of jan could you plz e-mail me his number or something. I owe him a beer. www.gdeam.06@hotmail.com .

Ron, let me verify my possition on the union. I think unions are the way to go in the workplace and I would rather work for a union shop than a nonunion shop. I do place the blame for this mess on the company. My issue with the union is the lack of information of when and what was being done about it and when i've sent e-mails to the regional office to find out what was being done, I got no response. I feel that is unacceptable. I never had a problem with you, it was others that blew me off and never got back to me when they said they would.

This thread really has started to evolve. I feel I should give some input about the current discussion to the union...

I really think the union and the company had one BIG thing in commom, LACK OF COMMUNICATION. I cannot imagine there is anyone out there that would argue that fact.

The reason why people get upset, start rumors, or get excited about small things is because there was/is little communication. Remember the company meetings? The union meetings? I faintly do. That was a land and time long ago. In the last few years there were no newsletters, few, if any, memos, or group discussions on either behalf. This makes for bad business and a disgruntled union employee.

There is no doubt that the company is 99% to blame, let's not forget that, but on the other hand, we had one thing that lots of other people out there did not have..and that was a union. People in other companies would get fired if they spoke up! I wholeheartedly believe that we did not take 100% advantage of that benefit, which really hurt us in the long run.

NOW ENOUGH ABOUT THAT STUFF! HOW ABOUT EVERYONE WORKING TOGETHER TO FIGURE OUT HOW THE HECK WE ARE GOING TO GET OUR INSURANCE, VACATION DAYS AND ANYTHING ELSE WE ARE OWD TAKEN CARE OF!?!

 

I think everyone should call Walton and Ben to set this up ..... The TAD Health Benefit US Open Golf Tourment on Walton's Mountain !!!

It would only cost $450,000 each to enter. I'm sure their friends have that in pocket change!!
