No disrespect to Mrs Tome... I don't know how Channel 21 can call Dody Tome's story today "breaking her silence." When I know for a fact that she's talked to channel 27 on several occasions. I was at the Kops for Cops game in December of 2008 and watched the reports from several of the channel 27 reporters. In order to gain the public trust, you should be trustworthy with your reporting.

CBS Early Show - Local Artist

We just wanted to announce the CBS Early Show will be airing our video and on Sep. 24, 2009 between 7 and 9:AM.
What this all amounts to is a clear problem in America.
Dog owner's are being criminalized, violated and ignored on a daily basis. Meanwhile, "Humane organizations" are overstepping their bounds (legally speaking) and supplying bogus information to law enforcements agencies in exchange for media coverage which results in donations. Directly resulting from these acts of pure greed are the deaths of innocent animals, the ruined lives of innocent dog lovers and the wasted taxpayer money which is used to arrest these people, harass these people and then lose in court to these people.

Recently I have begun to wonder if the United States has somehow amended the Constitution to exempt animal owners from certain "rights" which other citizens enjoy. For example, the the 5th Amendment which says "no person shall be deprived of Life, Liberty, or Property, without due process of law." However, every day laws are being passed which allow cities to take dogs (aka property) from their owners without the due process of a trial. The alarming rate with which this questionable practice is spreading has lead me to this idea. . .

Perhaps the United States of America no longer views animal owners as having equal rights afforded under the Constitution.
http://www.stop-bsl.com/blog/2008/11/animal-owners-devoid-of-constitutional.html

Homeless

I'm glad there are so many people worried about Mr. Thomas. I'm sure with all the posts, the local churches, Bethesda Mission, and other organizations won't have problems this year getting donations and contributions to help the homeless.

Where were you when they closed the Hbg. State Hospital and other institutions, helping the mentally ill? Where did you think people like Mr. Thomas was going to go? He's seems to be functional, after all he was in a restaurant eating, when his dog was removed from the car.

Let's see you put your time and money where your posts are, or don't you really care about the homeless?

You probably won't see Mr. Thomas' attorney fighting for the homeless, unless there are press opportunities.

I guess I'm jaded, and don't expect to see the donations increasing, just the posts. By the way, I do volunteer.

The Real World- Homeless People and their Pets.

The homeless population rely on their pets for nonjudgmental, loyal companionship. These pets are sometimes their primary support system and the only motivation to keep them going.

The number of companion animals living on the streets is surprisingly high. It is a fact of which Santa Barbara veterinarian David Dawson is keenly aware. In Santa Barbara County, CA., alone there are roughly 6,000 homeless people, with approximately one in 10 owning a pet. "With these economic times, we will not see the end of pet homelessness," said Dawson. "We need to give back and make a change to keep the pets and public healthy."

And that is exactly what he is doing. Last March, Dawson, along with his staff at San Roque Pet Hospital, held a free clinic for the homeless of Santa Barbara’s pets.

It is estimated by the National Coalition for the Homeless that between 5% to 10% of homeless people have dogs and/or cats. In some areas of the country the rate is as high as 24%. Most people who experience homelessness are homeless for a short period of time, and usually need help finding housing or a rent subsidy. But unfortunately for those with pets it becomes more difficult. Many are forced to choose between their pet or a roof over their head.

Surprisingly, most choose to stay on the streets with their pets for longer periods of time. Their pets are nonjudgmental, providing comfort, an emotional bond of loyalty. In some cases they provide the homeless with protection and keep them warm.

HELP WITH COMCAST.
TO GOVERNOR Rendell and State elected officials:

There is something fundamentally wrong with the above statement..... Most of us who still have a job are worried that we won't soon have a job and have made salary concessions to keep our companies in business. I am so very tired of the government taking more and more of my money for them to spend how they please. Then you have the audacity to hold the citizens of PA as well as the employees of the state HOSTAGE because the House and Senate won't pass your BIG SPENDING budget. Isn't this just another form of BLACKMAIL? Last time I knew blackmail was illegal. I guess if you are a politician, there are different rules. I get so tired of hearing how we are going to have to cut police, education, parks and such which are a small percentage of the total package. That is BLACKMAIL!!!

WAKE UP Governor Rendell and State government elected officials!!!! If we are in a recession, YOU should be looking after the business of our state like a business. You have forgotten how to run a business like a business and have fallen prey to the government mentality of endless revenue courtesy of your constituents. We are tired of your big spending and want more of our money to spend on what we want.

Pull yourselves together as a legislative body and go through the budget like the rest of us business people. Propose a budget that takes a 20-30% cut in revenue from last years budget. Last years was too big too, but the economy was good so no-one cared.(My mistake too. I should have held you all accountable then) Then prioritize what needs to be spent for the safety and education of the commonwealth,(These are your first priorities) Then you prioritize medium and low items/programs and many of those will take cuts, that's how business works.

In Business you prioritize and cut in low/medium priority areas first to SURVIVE, let's see you do it!!!!!

A few Ideas for free:

We don't need any more state employees so put on a hiring freeze. Likely could lose a few of them and not even feel it except in the budget area.

Why don't state employees pay for any of their healthcare? I do and the percentage that I pay grows every year.

Take a close look at state vehicles, you likely could cut the fleet 10% or more.

Send fewer of those vehicles home with employees. Big GAS savings. I see state cars at 8 and 9 pm at night. I doubt any of them are on official state business.

Look closely at state "paperwork" and the flow of your state processes. MAP each process like you would a business process and take out the NON VALUE ADDED ACTIVITY. This is one of the biggest savings you can realize.

As a final note:

If you and legislators spent as much time looking for and addressing WASTE in all the government processes as you do lobbying and figuring ways to pay for bigger government, you may find that you can do all things you want to do with less money and fewer resources, thus saving your constituents money and letting them spend it on growing the economy.........

Kind regards,

Remove seed. Scoop out avacado from the peel, put in a mixing bowl.

2 Using a fork, mash the avocado. Add the chopped onion, cilantro, lime
or lemon, salt and pepper and mash some more. Chili peppers vary
individually in their hotness. So, start with a half of one chili
pepper and add to the guacamole to your desired degree of hotness. Be
careful handling the peppers; wash your hands thoroughly after handling
and do not touch your eyes or the area near your eyes with your hands
for several hours.

Keep the tomatoes separate until ready to serve.

Remember that much of this is done to taste because of the variability
in the fresh ingredients. Start with this recipe and adjust to your
taste.

3 Cover with plastic wrap directly on the surface of the guacamole to
prevent oxidation from the air reaching it. Refrigerate until ready.

4 Just before serving, add the chopped tomato to the guacamole and mix.

     Serves 2-4.

          Variations

For a very quick "guac" just take a 1/4 cup of salsa and mix it in with your mashed avocados.

You don't need to have tomatoes in your guacamole.

To extend a limited supply of avocados, add either sour cream or
cottage cheese to your guacamole dip. Purists may be horrified, but so
what? It tastes great. In fact, guac with some cottage cheese added to
it is my favorite.

ENJOY THE DELICIOUS MEXICAN STYLE GUACAMOLE
check out Taos Dining - Everything about Taos Restaurants, Eateries, Dining for delicious and mind blowing recipes.

Rich
biodiversity and cultural differences are part of the wonderland called
Kerala. The Kerala tourism model always
has something for everyone. If you are a
cultural enthusiast, an adventure seeker, a nature enthusiast or having any
type of hobby, your will certainly find options to enjoy that to the fullest.

To walk
through the rich marine and natural vegetative biodiversity, a ride through the
numerous lagoons, lakes and the backwaters will give you a first impression of
the immense range of different varieties of plant and animal life. A stay in the houseboat will offer a
different experience. Even when riding
in the houseboat your strained nerves will be set right by the wide varieties
of different massage options. Sunbathers
and stargazers will never be disappointed because the houseboats allow rooftop
travel as well.

In
Kerala holidays can be fruitfully spent by visiting the
historical places, unwinding at the health resorts and all tour packages come
packed with so much at such a short span of time. The evenings are mostly set apart for
cultural events. A unique art form that
originated from Kerala is ‘Kathakali’.
In this unique art form a story is played out through a mix of song,
action and dance. Certain other cultural
forms allow the participation of both men and women.

Another
interesting experience not available anywhere else is the ‘elephant ride’. You can ride in all majesty atop the largest
living animal on earth. Even though the
African elephant is larger in size than an Indian elephant, it is not easily
domesticated. On the other hand the
Indian elephant is a docile animal willing to obey any diktat from its
master. A major part of the forests in
Kerala have survived because by using these huge animals logging could be done
without damaging the immediate environment by the use of heavy logging
machinery. Logging is a destructive
affair in many other parts of the world.

Unique awe
inspiring sights await a budding visitor, and the camera lenses will have to

system for personal computers. (Earlier, the same name had been used for an IBM
operating system for a line of business computers.) The first personal computer
version of DOS, called PC-DOS, was developed for IBM by Bill Gates and his new
Microsoft Corporation. He retained the rights to market a Microsoft version,
called MS-DOS. PC-DOS and MS-DOS are almost identical and most users have
referred to either of them as just "DOS." DOS was (and still is) a
non-graphical line-oriented command- or menu-driven operating system, with a
relatively simple interface but not overly "friendly" user interface.
Its prompt to enter a command looks like this: C:>

The first Microsoft Windows operating system was really an application
that ran on top of the MS-DOS operating system. Today, Windows operating
systems continue to support DOS (or a DOS-like user interface) for special
purposes by emulating the operating system. In the 1970s before the personal
computer was invented, IBM had a different and unrelated DOS (Disk Operating
System) that ran on smaller business computers. It was replaced by IBM's VSE
operating system. In computers, a command is a specific order from a user to
the computer's operating system or to an application to perform a service, such
as "Show me all my files" or "Run this program for me."
Operating systems such as DOS that do not have a graphical user interface (GUI)
offer a simple command line interface
in which you type the command on a designated line in a display panel.

A batch file is a text file that contains a sequence of commands for a
computer operating system. It's called a batch file because it batches (bundles
or packages) into a single file a set of commands that would otherwise have to
be presented to the system interactively from a keyboard one at a time. A batch
file is usually created for command sequences for which a user like Professional Website Design has a
repeated need. Commonly needed batch files are often delivered as part of an
operating system. You initiate the sequence of commands in the batch file by
simply entering the name of the batch file on a command line. In the Disk
Operating System (DOS), a batch file has the file name extension
".BAT". (The best known DOS batch file is the AUTOEXEC.BAT file that
initializes DOS when you start the system.) In UNIX-based operating systems, a
batch file is called a shell script. In IBM's mainframe VM operating systems,
it's called an EXEC.

Summer Reading Kick Off Event

Summer Reading Kick Off Event

If
purple blooms put a smile on your face, then you should most definitely
use plants with purple blooms. The same is true for any color you find
pleasing. There are different disciplines to pull from when trying to
decide on color choices, but those disciplines speak in generalities;
your own personal experiences mold your tastes into something unique,
something your own, something a text or curriculum cant possibly
pinpoint.

That being said, one of the disciplines I like to pull from often,
especially when it comes to color choices, is Feng Shui. While Im not
part of the Feng Shui orthodoxy, the design and layout lessons Ive
taken from Feng Shui are fundamentally grounded in sound design. They
can be used inside and outside the home, no matter if you have each and
every room aligned to maximize its chi (energy), or you just want to
make a garden space more appealing.

For example, a room (defined by either an indoor or outdoor space) with
metal energy tends to be very clean and structured. Some colors that
are considered to have metal energy are white, silver and gold. And in
my opinion, some lighter blues, when considering plant blooms, could be
grouped with those colors as well. Metal energy tends to allow for
clear and concise thinking and the carrying out and completion of
tasks.

On a much smaller scale, when I finish a landscape design and want to
begin the next design, I need some of the cleansing effects of metal
energy. I remove every template, pencil, eraser bag and architect's
scale from my drafting table and I wipe down the table. Im left with a
stark white table, and with that I am able to lay down a new piece of
vellum and wash the previous design from my mind and begin to get
involved with the next space Ill design. I find that structure and the
absence of color leaves my imagination open to consider new design
possibilities.

The very same can be true for a garden space. An organized, mass
planting of white Tulip bulbs can provide a space in your yard to give
you clarity of thought or purpose. Add some yellows and earthy tones to
blend a nurturing feeling into that planting. Itll give you the same
feeling as you get with an early morning cup of coffee, watching the
sun rise to greet a new day; full of warmth, potential and purpose.

Youve heard of the power tie or the power dress, right? Take that flame
red color to the blooms in your yard and you may be filled with those
same feelings of power and confidence. Are you more the strong, silent
type? Blues and violets can lend a feeling of inner strength and
serenity.

I believe the first decision you should make when planning your color
scheme for your yard is to decide how you want to feel when youre
taking in the beauty of that space. Once you have a sense for that, I
recommend finding a book or two to help you make your selections. Feng
Shui in 10 Simple Lessons by Janet Butler-Briggs, is a wonderful
beginning to learning that approach to using color.

Color Harmony by Bride M. Whelan, shows you hundreds of different color
combinations with real-life examples of their use, to help you create
the perfect space, indoors or out.

New toilet plumbing

I am adding an upstairs master bath in a small room connected to the master bedroom. The existing upstairs and downstairs toilets each have their own wastepipes to the main drain in the crawlspace. Can a new toilet connection be added to the vented vertical wastewater pipe that serves the downstaires toilet or would this be a no-no? Mayor Reed has no problem with doing things in your name that are illegal.

1. He had his legal council lie to City Council telling them that using a "Quick Claim" Deed to sell McCormick Island was just a leasing document and in so money years, the City can get the island back. Ask any attorney, this is in violation of Pennsylvania and US Criminal statutes.

2. Mayor Reed illegally took out a loan in your name, in secret, and gave the money to his friends.

3. Mayor Reed tried to hijack a liquor license owned by the City, to give to his friends, opening up a eating establishment on City Island. This is also against Pennsylvania Criminal Code.

You complain about criminal activity in the City. Well it starts with the Mayors office. The problem is, no law enforcement agency is doing anything about it. Mayor Reed has been under FBI investigation for years. Many people have been interviewed by them including Eric Papenfuse and Darnell Williams concerning Reed team activity. Other law enforcement agencies have also been watching. But they will not do anything until you, the public, do something.

This is why you have to vote against the Mayor and his machine on May 19th and tell your friends, relatives, and neighbors to do the same. It is all up to each and every one of you!

Sincerely,

Let me remind you that the Mayor;

1. Gave Barlow Construction Company a check for $125 Million to rebuild the incinerator with no controls on the money. To this day, no one knows what happened to the money and the incinerator repairs are still not done. It will be you who will have to pay this money back.

2. The Mayor took out a loan for $15 Million in secret and against the law. He gave the money to Barlow with no controls on the money. The money disappeared along with the $125 Million. After Barlow received this money, he filed for bankruptcy. Now you have to pay for all this money.

3. The incinerator is losing money and your trash rates had to be increased. You are now paying the highest trash rates in Pennsylvania. Instead of fixing the incinerator, he was busy taking care of his friends.

4. Mayor Reed gave one of his friends a job doing nothing for the City with an annual salary of $90,000. You are paying that salary. Instead of looking out for your money, he was looking out for his friend.

5. In a time of layoffs, home foreclosures, and salary decreases, Mayor Reed gave his friends working for the City a 12% to 18% raise. I bet you did not get a raise, let alone a big raise. Mayor Reed takes care of his friends. But not you!

6. Spent $30 Million on Artifacts, which was your money and tried to sell city assets to a friend.

7. This is why we have over one Billion Dollar City and School Debt. That is debt that you have to pay back along with paying for City services.

8. The Mayor took over the school system, spending a lot of your money. The school system is worse now than when he took it over. It is still 501th out of 501 school systems in the state.

9. Over the past 25 year, the Mayor took police and fire officers off the payroll but he had money to buy artifacts and give his friends raises.

10. We pay the highest property taxes in the tri-county area.

11. The Mayor has not upgraded the sewer system and it is starting to decay. That is why water backs up in the streets when it rains. But he can spend money on museums instead of on you.

12. But all these years, he kept these things from you so that you would think that he is the greatest Mayor in the world. He wants you to think of yesteryear instead of the future. That way, he can continue to use your money to take care of his friends.

If you feel like we do, please pass this around to your friends, neighbors and relatives. Help us retire Mayor Reed. This will help us all. If not, then live in the past and allow the residents of Harrisburg to pay high taxes and fees for public charity to the suburbanites and Reed's friends.

Sincerely,

These days new generation is moving toward drugs and alcohol
due to frustration and competition for the survival in the society which is not
at all good for the society. We should take some step to prevent our new
generation for these deadly habits. They need some support from there family

away with the habit of drugs and alcohols.

I have a passion for networking computers together, and the web programming.

I thought I'd put this out to everyone on here, I'm currently looking for any-type of old computers that you might have just sitting in the garage that I might be able to have so I can practice my networking and web programming skills.

I would be willing to just take them off your hands if you no longer want them. I can pick them up (I live in the Mechanicsburg/Camp Hill area) from you. It would be nice to get rid of some junk wouldn't it?

Let me know if anyone is interested. Feel free to either post in this topic or send me an email at tj[dot]adkinson[at]gmail[dot]com (change the [dot]'s to . and [at] to @ - this helps reduce spam).

Thanks so much!

TJ
alcoholism treatment

Every dark night is followed by a bright sunny day.
