    Bikers understand and raised money

    Hello all again,

I assume by now you must be aware of my fondness for the Amish folks or what they themselves call themselves, 'The Plain People'. Before I go into my brief commentary of the Biker's and the poem, I would just like to reiterate that I studied the Amish folks long before I ever set sight on Central, PA. Yes, they are Plain in their mode of dress, houses from what I have noticed, their reasonings behind the children going to school until the 8th grade and then working at home, the boys with the men and the women cleaning and cooking. For the ones that sell items in the various towns, I still have noted that the women will talk with the women and the men with the men. This is also so in Judiasm. The Amish do not believe in socializing with us, the so-called 'English' as they don't want to get involved in our ways. However they saw and interacted with numerous of the English on the morning their little one room school was undirect fire.

As to the bikers, you seemed to have superceeded what you thought you could raise and when God is right there helping you, it is not a wonder.

As to the person who wrote the poem, very nice.

Feel free to comment on anything I write and I will end this by asking a couple of questions: 1} Why do the so-called English think they could not live as the Amish do? Before computers came out or for that matter, electric typewriters, we either hand wrote it or used a manual typewriter. 2} Could we not live with no electricity, i.e., TV, phones, PC's, I have done it when I was en route to PA. Do we have to dress so fancy as to show the whole World or would a simple dress or outfit be suitable for work and dependent on what kind of job the male has, a simple suit or if he is a blue collar worker, then that answers that. Just curious folks, why not leave a message?

    Take good care,

    Joanie

PS: I don't only write on the Amish, so you will see other things too.
