good morning all i would like to thank all of you who wrote in and e-mailed with words of encouragement and told your stories about things that are taking place in T.A.D and keeping this story alive its really ashame because there are some really good people that i have worked with and lives that have touched mine in many ways.

Sorry you had to go back there chase and baker. It has to be hard. It has been over a year since I had slept a full night, but now that I do not have to deal with them, It is blissful sleep. I have never been afraid to say, or show my name btw arial. :) I do not like to stir up trouble, but when I have had enough I will jump. And I will stand on my soap box and scream the truth. I am sick and tired of the the way the company has treated me and all of the employees. So I did what I thought right. If I am wrong then I am wrong, however. I am passionate about this cause and will keep going on with it. As well as a few others. I encourage all to get involved! I am sending a little letter to fox news with the link to this story today. I hope they will run with it. I think they will since John Mcain was there. that is an interesting twist.

I know you are passionate about this issue and I am so grateful to you for finally doing what many should have done a year ago, but I also know how it can consume your life in a negative way, so please focus on that sweet lil baby girl of yours and enjoy every moment! No more water breaking in my near future! I know for a fact the cost just to be in the hospital is well over 30K and well incase things weren't clear, we NO LONGER HAVE INSURANCE so that could be tough!

I guess I should be thankful our insurance wasn't dropped in Sept rather than Oct, or else that bill would be my problem! So here is a big fat Thanks to TAD

You know, as if i have to make another point showing how low TAD was, while I was off on maternity leave they "laid" me off for a few weeks, just to save themselves from paying their portion of my insurance. Luckily Jer could put me on his but of course it was a higher cost for us. But thats how low, lets lay off someone who is off after just having a baby, all to save a few bucks. Nice huh?

I'll tell you how to save a few bucks, stop paying some salary employees 70k a year to show up 2-3 days a week, and when they are there, they screw things up!

I came across this story and could not believe the way this company chose to do buisness.  I am from Georgia so the story is being heard all over. I really must give credit to you guys cause if I had worked there I would probably be in jail as I would have went off on the manegment in a really bad way.

My thoughts and prayers are with all involved.

I JUST wanted to add some things as I seen people were putting the Union down... I think What TAD did was wrong but it is not the unions Fault. THEY ARE doing what they can do they did all they can as
1. There is 3 new reps AS OF March 1st.. Its only April...
2. They handed it intoe the headcorters Rep named Joe .. This is a SMALL union and have to follow procedures at headcorters.. Joe then was to turn it into THE LAWYERS.. This is A PROCESS.. And the plant will probably fold and be all under before the process is completed. ITS ASHAME.. But same with the issue it DIDNT happen over night and cant be fixed over night.. I hope the people in charge get what they deserve..  I hope everyones family somehow gets closer and my mother ALTHEA Grunden Is a Union Rep and shes made calls to.. She also has been talkin to Sue Helm about this issues.. Things are Being done BUT Nothing will happen Over night. Its a process... But please dont point the fingers at people who are trying to do what they can.. The officers can only do so much and they did what they can and are still trying and making calls to others. Dont shift Blame frm whos really to blame.. IM SURE thats what they want!! Thanks

I totally get what you are saying, BUT I am speaking of the past union officers, not the new ones. Hank, Ed, Ron and Terry knew last year already that TAD was deducting union dues from our checks and not turning it over to them. I know for a fact employess themselves called Union Headquarters and their calls went unreturned and their questions unanswered.

I feel as though if the officers would have worked harder at holding TAD accountable back then it may not have gotten to the point it has with the insurances.

No the union is not to blame, but they were hired to protect us and as far as I can see we have been protected from nothing. To me that was just more money taken from us every paycheck that we were not receiving services for.

 

That is what I was talking about as well, this was going on last year and NOTHING was done. I e-mailed the regional office and got nothing as well! TAD is ultimately at fault for this whole affair, but on the other hand nobody wants to help either! I filed papers with the Attorney General and was told we can do nothing and I was to call the PA State police which I did and was told to call Harrisbug City police which I did and was told after being hung up on the first time that this is an issue for the Attorney General! I also e-mailed Stephen "BONE HEAD" Reeds office and got nothing from them! Now I ask are we to take this into our own hands and get payed? I bet if we did law enforcement would be all over us like stink on s**t.

I know about some of the calls that have been made and it seems nothing has been done. I do Know that Sue Helm spoke to my mother on getting more info EVEN ABout HOW Blue SHield could send a letter out SO many months after the Insurance was canceled. It seems MANY did wrong.. TAD OF COURSE first but I dont get how Blue Shield could do that either.. Seems they should ahev 30 days OR so to do that Not 5 Months.. But the pays checks bouncing and all kinda stuff is just wrong.. My mom has to be in there working and wonders hmm if someone would get hurt we dont have Insurance or Workers COmp or anything.. I feel for the ppl who are in there workin because they HAVE to if they dont they wont be able to get any unemployment.. I KNOW I WOULDNT Wanna be workin for them A**holez ....

You are exactly right. Where will it end? These people HAVE to report to work or will be denied unemployment but the whole point of going to work is to be paid, so if they are not being paid shouldn't that be considered that they are unemployed? I mean no one signed up to be VOLUNTEERS for TAD, it just isn't fair.

 

 

If they don't have workers comp. why isn't someone with authority in there shutting them down? I would think that this would be against some kind of law.

Maybe you could talk to your mom and have her talk to the rest of the union officers about contacting all the union brothers who are affected with this and keeping us up to date of what is going on and how things are progressing. I'm pretty sure they have all our addresses so they could send us a letter. I'm not trying to sound smart about this, I just think this would be the right thing to do.
