Just wondering, with the Game Commission proposing to make the first week of the (rifle) deer season 'buck only" in the area that includes all of Perry County... Does anyone who hunts there care?

I've heard a mixed reaction so far. Some hunters say they're happy to see it, while others say they just won't hunt until the second week when they have a choice between a buck and doe.

Just curious. I think this might become a bigger deal in November.

I quit hunting about 20 years ago. Back then that was the law for all of PA. It was a lot safer knowing that people weren't shooting at anything that moved. The 2-day doe season they had was a bit crazy to be in the woods.
