Re: Tax *This*, "Mama" Obama....
The Democrats are drafting our new healthcare reform. Sen. Ted Kennedy, from Massachusetts got the ball rolling and has been a key player in it's initiation. Massachusetts - universal healthcare's poster child, claims the #1 honor for the top State in the Nation for thyroid cancer, 5th in breast, kidney, renal, mesothelioma, urinary & bladder cancer, and 10th in the Nation for brain cancer.
Big industry and greedy politics hosed Massachusetts, pure and simple.. One needs to simply Google "w. r. grace toxic waste site woburn ma" to see how. And they're setting our standards and telling us how to live healthy?
http://www.northshoreonline.com/woburn/grace.htm
And Kentucky -
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rubbertown,_Louisville
In fact, the last time I checked, "Lexington Lawyers" was the number one searched item on Google.
And New Jersey, where Obama's new EPA head hails from - http://www.nj.gov/dep/srp/kcsnj/
Nice job, Lisa.
But the lawyers should do well, and that's who put this current administration into office, proposing no caps on malpractice insurance, of course. http://younglawyersforobama.org/ or http://my.barackobama.com/page/group/LawyersforObama
Take a tally from this list as to how many Attorneys contributed to his campaign - I don't have time to, but maybe some else does? http://fundrace.huffingtonpost.com/ If I get a free moment, I'll do the math. That, my friends, is who is going to profit from this administration's fiasco. Not the middle class people of the United States.

Re: Tax *This*, "Mama" Obama....
Responses from the Medical Profession on Obamacare:
The American Medical Association has weighed in on the new health care package.
The Allergists voted to scratch it, but the Dermatologists advised not to make any rash moves.
The Gastroenterologists had sort of a gut feeling about it, but the Neurologists thought the Obama administration had a lot of nerve but no cognitive reasoning abilities.
The Obstetricians felt they were all laboring under a misconception. Ophthalmologists considered the idea shortsighted.
Pathologists yelled, "Over my dead body!" while the Pediatricians called for a time out and recommended Ritalin for Obama and his entire ADD Congress.
The Psychiatrists thought the whole idea was madness, while the Radiologists could see right through it.
Surgeons decided to wash their hands of the whole thing.
The Internists thought it was a bitter pill to swallow, and the Plastic Surgeons said, "This puts a whole new face on the matter."
The Podiatrists thought it was a step forward, but the Urologists were pissed off at the whole idea.
The ENT's choked on it, heard nothing that made sense and blew it out their nostrils.
The Anesthesiologists thought the whole idea was a gas, and the Cardiologists didn't have the heart to say it would be catastrophic.
In the end, the Proctologists won out, leaving the entire decision up to the *#$!@* in Washington.

Re: Tax *This*, "Mama" Obama....
Talk about blatant hypocrisy - Congress wants to tax soda and fast food because it's "bad for us", in order to fund their health care reform, yet look at what they invest THEIR money in - Coke, Pepsi and McDonalds? Can somebody out there besides myself put any of these pieces together? If Congress gets their way, Diet Coke and Pepsi will soar (thanks to ignorance and Monsanto), so it may be a "sweet" investment. Any idea why the FDA will not permit Stevia (a true natural sweetener) to be used as a food additive? Other Nations do, but other Nations put their citizens' well being first, and are not Monsanto's boy, unlike the US. http://www.healingdaily.com/detoxification-diet/aspartame.htm
And what a coincidence - lots of these companies also received bailout AND Recovery money (yes, including the poor downtrodden Micro$oft that received $11 MILLION to build a bridge. Why? To get to the "other side".) http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/03/31/microsoft-stimulus-money_n_181494.html - yet they give money away? http://www.gatesfoundation.org/Pages/home.aspx . It's beyond comprehension how this company could have taken this money with good conscience (ok, I just answered my own question)....
Here's a list of the "Most Popular Congressional Investments":
Do you think Congress knew they were going to enlist GE in the Windmill contract, or was it just coincidence? Inquiring minds want to know. http://www.opensecrets.org/pfds/overview.php?type=P&year=2007
Total/Dems/ Republicans
Then take that list and cross reference it with the below list which delineates who, exactly, received Bailout Money to the total tune of $700 BILLION.
http://projects.nytimes.com/creditcrisis/recipients/table
This, America, is what happens when you toss your 50 somethings to the curb (http://www.usatoday.com/money/economy/employment/2009-07-29-oldermales_N.htm), ignore your Seniors with decades of experience, wisom and knowledge, and let the generation under them take over. Fine job, fellas. When y'all have to move back home with Mommy and/or Daddy because you've over spent your own finances and trashed your company's, Mom and/or Dad need to kick you to the curb, because the bailout days are going to be over soon. And now you want free healthcare, too? What's wrong with this picture? Maybe instead of going to college you should have gone to war - at least you would have learned self-discipline, honor and respect.
Let's get some statistics from the Insurance companies to see who, exactly is taxing and costing this healthcare system. I can tell you it is not the Seniors, although they are the ones paying dearly. The generation under them do not feel they should have to pay into it, or pay for their healthcare, when the Seniors and everyone else has to pay for your kids' schools? America the beautiful...the only Nation in the world that does not respect and value their elders, trashing them like yesterday's newspapers. We're now seeing the Kevorkian mentality within Medicare - but remember one thing, fellas - Wills can be changed. And Karma is a wonderful thing - *your* kids will be *just* like you. Think twice about cutting elder care, and think thrice about what you're doing to the over 50's, because your day will come as well, and you are setting the precedence.
You thought you could do better. Great job.

Re: Tax *This*, "Mama" Obama....
Everybody cuts up on McDonalds, including our current Administration who's wanting to tax fast foods and soda, however I witnessed something today at lunch I wanted to share.
We only have 1/2 hour for lunch, and the closest place is McDonalds. I was in line behind a young US Soldier stationed at an airfield here locally, dressed in his fatigues. When he went to pay for his lunch, the young lady behind the counter said to him, "It's on McDonalds, and it's a privilege to serve YOU". This made me proud, because if she hadn't bought his lunch, I would have. I thanked him for his service, and he was very humble and appreciative. Such a young guy, too. He said he doesn't hear that too often, was truly grateful and gave me a hug, not realizing how grateful we are to them.
I spoke to the Manager at McDonalds and commended him on doing this, and he said it's their policy to thank our US Military for what they do for us - they do what they can for them. I hope they can still afford to do this if Obama decides McDonalds is going to pay for his health care plan.
God Bless McDonalds. I wonder if Outback Steak House would do the same.

Re: Tax *This*, "Mama" Obama....
Reality Check??? **We** need a reality check???
This President is two french fries short of a Happy Meal. Anyone who cannot see this is as gullible as the desperate young female majority that voted him into office. The latest? "Reality Check" - the official White House web site for Obamacare - http://www.whitehouse.gov/realitycheck/ . REALITY CHECK??? This is a term used by psychiatrists to bring down psychiatric patients from a psychosis. The American citizens, B.O., are not the ones needing a reality check, and your web site indicating as such is a blatant slap in the face to all American Citizens. This current administration and Grandiose-Bama is what needs the Reality Check, not us. What a farce indeed, and what a condescending disrespect for the American people who cannot get ANY consistent answers on this health care reform fiasco. You can fool some of the people some of the time, B.O.....but we ALL ain't crazy as you suggest in your pathetic attempt to rationalize this abortion of a health care plan you're attempting to shove down our throats.
Reality check *this*.

Re: Tax *This*, "Mama" Obama....
How about Reality Checking this, someone? I understand in the new health care proposal there is a graph that shows the value of a person according to his age (no graph according to sex, but there should be one). It shows that a 15 year old is equal to FOURTEEN (14) 85-year olds.
Obama and Congress - you have now made this a generation war, and I can tell you this - with your brains and *our* wisdom - you will not win this war. The over 50's have worked for what they have and didn't depend on Momma Obama to give them an entitled life, and we are not going to hand it over to the slackers who do not feel they need to pay for *anything*, and that includes your Democratic Congress, Wall Street failures and layer vultures that voted you in.
Let's get some statistics from the Insurance Companies showing *BY AGE GROUP* what each one costs the health care system. Any if you have any idea what the cost of knee and hip replacements, shoulder, back and arm surgeries for athletes is? And the amount done daily in this Country because of physical stress on bodies not yet physically prepared for that type of impact, that are fried and crippled over by time they're 30, because Mommy and Daddy pushed them to start training from the time they were toddlers? Tax the sports industry and athletes who are burdening the health care system, not the poor, middle class and elderly.
