Tax *This*, "Mama" Obama....
Ah, we see B.O. is thinking of taxing fast-food restaurants (probably the only restaurants most of us can afford any more) and soda since they're bad for us, to fund his healthcare reform bill.
"Soda is clearly one of the most harmful products in the food supply, and it's something government should discourage the consumption of," says Michael Jacobson, executive director of the Center for Public Interests.
We are now seeing "The *King* of PORK BARREL SPENDING" (Obama and his Congress) at it's best, and we will never see it like we have in the past six months and are about to see in the next four years. Google it and weep, because this administration hasn't even gotten started yet.

But it's big business and some other mysterious entity that's doing this to our water, and Mr. President doesn't mess with big business or mysterious entities - he is, after all, one of them (who's funding who? http://www.campaignmoney.com/ - for example, click the employers link and type in something like "Monsanto", or "DuPont" here: http://www.opensecrets.org/pres08/index.php). Then check the EPA's site for how many Superfund sites or corrective actions each has and their lack of compliance. Rather than putting so much mental energy into healthcare reform, how about some CHANGE and clean up the mess that is making us all sick? But we *do* know who owns whom.
Mr. Obama had the audacity to ask the American public if we've seen the price of arugula at Whole Foods lately.
1. Whole Foods is a racket with slim choosings of true Organic produce and meats. Nice of you to promote them, but who, Mr. Obama, can afford to shop at Whole Foods besides yourself (now)?
3. Mr. Obama, we shouldn't HAVE to shop at Whole Foods for produce and meats that won't kill us. Why don't you tackle the likes of Monsanto and Con Agra who have poisoned our food supplies and tainted our meats with hormones and antibiotics (Oestradiol, Progesterone, Testosterone, rgBH, Zeranol, Trenbolone, Melengestrol, Synercid, quinupristin-dalfopristin, tetracycline, flouroquine, Cipro, Baytril, and estrogens) that cause obesity, immune disorders, resistance to antibiotics, premature puberty, pre-pubertal gynecomastia (Google it), autism, breast cancer, prostate cancer, colon cancer, cognitive disorders, diabetes, hypothyroidism, uterine cancer, sudden infant death syndrome, brain disease, and poisoned our ground and waters they so zealously use in their pesticides that are absorbed into the fruits and vegetables we get at our neighborhood supermarket, instead of soda? How about tacklling the "Big Dogs" instead of staying on the porch playing Mama Obama hiding behind Hillary Clinton's skirts and worrying about McDonalds and Soda?
Wanna tax something? *Tax This*:
1. Tax plastic surgery – you know, the tummy tucks, facelifts, breast implants, liposuction, microdermabrasion….all things the rich can afford and is a cash only market. No insurance involved. Lots of money to be made from that, especially from Hollywood. Let them start paying some taxes for a change since we’ve been paying their way and padding their wallets for centuries. You think Oprah would let you do this? Ask her, would you?
2. Tax prime cuts of beef. Yup, beef, if you're so concerned about our health. Your filet mignons, your pricey beef that the middle class cannot afford - let it kill you and not us. You want to eat high on the hog? Tax 'em. Why are you playing with soda and McDonalds when you can go for the gold?
3. Why is our taxpayer money being used to deploy US Marshals to protect every abortion clinic in the United States? We understand there was a tragic murder, and this Dr. was well aware of the threats against him, yet did not think it was worth spending *his* money to protect the place? How is it that every other business and place of public access that is aware of a security risk provides *their own* security - but abortion clinics get US MARSHALS? Why pay for it when you can get it for free - right? There was a school Principal shot to death last week - have you deployed US Marshals to schools? There was an Iowa high school football coach gunned down at a school - have you deployed US Marshals in schools yet? Pull your Marshals out of abortion clinics and let the clinics pay for their own security - put *that* into your healthcare kitty. Again, you are simply protecting *your* interests and beliefs - not those of the people.
4. How about taxing Manicures and Pedicures? You think this is a joke? The area where I live has approximately 14 nail salons in a 5-mile radius, and their shops are booming. You said you're concerned about our health? Have you done your homework about the number of infections, diseases and nail fungii that these people get from these places? Tax 'em, Mr. Obama. It is a luxury, and it is one booming business in the US. Why worry about soda when your young American women that voted you into office will without a blink pay another dollar or two at these filthy places - tax 'em. Another all cash business and another luxury that you missed.
5. Instead of taking from the Medicare system and lowering the standards of service for the elderly who changed your diapers, fed you, clothed you, faught in numerous wars (that you did not) and worked their fingers to the bones from *nothing* without Government assistance - LEGALLY - to give you this “entitled” life and freedom you're trying to take away from us, tax BABIES. Yup, babies. Think of how much money they will cost the healthcare system in a lifetime, unlike a Senior Citizen who may only have 10-20 more years left in them. The more babies, the more tax on them. No exclusions for the poor. Maybe if you start taxing babies they’ll start having less of them. Set a number - two, three - after which walks in the Baby Tax. Wanna have a bunch of kids? Great, but you pay MORE taxes, not less. You've got it all backwards, Mr. Obama. Tax credits should go to those who chose some restraint and live within their means, not to those looking for a security blanket in the Federal Government.
6. Tax people who stay up after midnight. That’s not good for you, either. Less than 8 hours sleep can cause hypertension, cognitive disorders, depression, mania, heart disease, poor work performance, slow reaction time and a wide array of other disorders. Mama Obama can have the electric companies monitor who runs their lights after midnight and they get taxed extra, unlike those of us who don’t drink soda or smoke or have 20 babies – we go to bed on time – why should we have to pay for the health costs and pick up the slack for those that don’t? Yup – tax electricity that is in excess after midnight – will bring down health insurance costs and teach you yunguns how to take care of yourself like Mom always told you. And help with Global Warming, too.
7. Double tax all-you-can-eat buffets. Enough said.
8. Tax SUV drivers that do not know how to turn around and look behind them before backing out of parking spaces (double tax 'em if they're on their cell phones). And a $100 stimulus check to everyone who has been hit by one. In fact, tax gas guzzling SUVs, period.
9. Tax news reporters that are afraid to ask you a "challenging" question on live TV.
Lastly, tax those that don’t take their multivitamins daily. We do, so why should we have to pay the same taxes as those that don’t have time or sense to take care of themselves, their kids or eat right?
Remember that video that came out prior to the Primaries about Hillary Clinton standing in front of a stadium full of zombies vaguely resembling Communism? Well, that’s exactly what we’ve got on our hands now, my friends, except it’s her separated at birth twin.
And the majority voted for them. Would you like cheese with your whine?

Need more suggestions, Mr. Obama?
1. Tax the *WAZOO* off big blue and white Boeing 747s that routinetly do publicity photo shoots and beer runs.
2. Tax parents whose kids who were never taught the concept and reason for "Time Outs" by the time they reach Kindergarden.
3. Tax credits back to the above parents who learn to give the above kids a swat on the rear.
4. Have Educational Testing Service in Princeton develop a Functional Behavioral Assessment Testing Program for children entering Kindergarten, and tax the Parents of the kids that fail as well as requiring manditory classes at the Parents' expense to explain basic life skills and child rearing concepts, discipline, and respect - and how to be told "no". And the meaning of "quality time with your children". Educate them beforehand that yes, children are high maintenance - prepare yourselves and adjust accordingly.
5. Tax expectant Parents who have not participated in a "Nutrition 101" course prior to giving birth. Your new Healthcare Reform might want to include that as a bonus.
6. Tax the Baby Food, bottle, container and formula manufacturers up the wazoo until they successfully complete a Government mandated remedial "Carcinogen 101" course (at their own expense), and have your FDA ensure they practice what they learned. Of course, one of the largest pharmaceutical megaconglomerates in the world owned one of those baby food companies, so it was a win-win situation either way for them. No need for new agencies - just teach the current ones to do what we are paying them to do - simply enforce regulations already in place. No excuses, there.
7. Tax Congress, the President, the Governors, the Mayors, the EPA, USDA and the FDA for not having participated in a "Nutrition 101", "Ethics 101", "Environmental Impact 101",, "Carcinogens 101" and a remedial "Fidelity" course prior to taking office (and I don't mean the bank).
8. Mr. Obama is now also rewarding the polluters as part of his environmental cleanup package he's put together (yes, the US Government is giving the polluters money, just as he did AIG, etc... like DuPont needs money?) . So now the US EPA director who was the head of the NJ DEP - Lisa Jackson can have the feds pay for the garbage she left behind? http://www.epa.gov/region02/cleanup/sites/njtoc_county.htm#a The list on these sites contains a disproprotionate amount of pharmaceutical corporations - why are the taxpayers footing the bill? Pick your state: http://www.epa.gov/superfund/sites/npl/where.htm . So now he's rewarded corporations who have produced gargage products all these years, rewarded greedy CEOs for mismanaging their money, rewarding banks for giving out loans like jelly beans on Easter, and now billion dollar corporations who have destroyed our environment, too? Mr. Obama - rewards are supposed to go to the ones that comply with standards set - not the violaters. Again, you and your bought and paid for Congress have it bass-ackwards.
You think this hokey energy bill won't cost the poor and working class America? Call your utility company today and ask them how it will impact you, personally - ours says it will increase our electric bills from anywhere from 40 to 80% more in CARBON TAXES and RENEWABLES alone over the next decade.
9. Tax ALL school board members and school systems that refuse to mandate Physical Education, Nutrition and Home Economics courses, since the parents will not encourage or teach them. The tax gleaned from #4 should cover those courses expenses nicely, and you may have some left over to teach them basic math, reading and writing as a bonus. Myself, I taught my child all of the above while working full time as did his Father, but we can't expect too much from this generation of Parents, you know? They are, after all, the entitled ones that would sue a teacher or a Medical Doctor in a heartbeat for calling them or their kids obese or lazy. But good habits, like World Peace, begin at home, Mr. Obama, and that is where you need to start. Take your feet off your desk, have some respect for your position, office and those that elected you, and help them pull themselves up by their bootstraps so we can once again become a productive, healthy, flourishing Nation. And that starts by example.
The healthcare system can stand on its own, but it starts with simple common sense education and knowledge. Don't keep them sick which simply builds the pharmaceutical empire larger than it is now - help get them healthy so we CAN become a productive workforce again - that shows up, and works - "efficiently and consistently". And that starts with the food and water they put into their mouths - but before that, it has to begin with what your agencies are regulating and permitting to be put into that food and water. That's your job, Mr. Obama. AND YOU DON'T HAVE THE CAYUNS TO DO IT.

How about NO TAX on kids outdoor activity toys and goods, such as bicycles, sleds, ice skates, footballs, baseballs & bats, jump ropes, volley ball sets, badminton sets, outdoor gyms, skateboards, swing sets, etc..... The last time it snowed here we drove around for close to two hours and could not find ONE kid outside playing in the snow, making snowmen or having snowball fights. Encourage the toy stores and sporting good stores to hold free seminars to teach kids how to play outside (like Home Depot does for do-it-yourselfers), since most parents apparently have not. Somebody's gotta pick up the slack, and the Parents just ain't gonna do it. Education is the key, Mr. Obama, not taxing soda and cheeseburgers. You are looking in the wrong direction, and I pray that is not intentional, for all our citizens' sake.
Encourage volunteerism - were you a Big Brother, Mr. Obama, or was Michelle a Big Sister? What have you both done in the past volunteer wise for the people in need in YOUR community? I can tell you what I have done in mine. Won't cost anybody a dime, either, and just MIGHT help the upcoming generation succeed where their Parents, our values and our system have failed.
Whose fault is the failure? Did you and prior administrations really believe you were going to get anything accomplished environment-wise by bringing in not one but two women from *New Jersey* to head the EPA? Been in that State lately? Drive up the Turnpike towards Newark where the putrid air is enough to gag a maggot - been that way for decades and nothing has changed at all, even with your handpicked EPA director at the reins. And that's who's setting our standards? Hypodermic needles on the beaches, day-glo mutant fish (the ones that are left), oil slicks on the rivers - you haven't been doing your homework, boys. Parents who have to work overtime just to hold onto their homes plant their kids in front of a TV set, video games or the Internet (unsupervised) and refuse to find time to instill values and common sense in the trophy children they bred who attack teachers if they so much even hint that Johnny is lazy or obese. Many parks and recreation areas are closing and kids really cannot be left outside unsupervised anymore because of the sex offenders, child molesters and murderers you have let loose on the street. So you've got your work cut out for you, Obama, and it's not taxing fast foods and soda. Fix the health system? Find the cause, treat it and cure it. Not like the medical profession with a band-aid solution. Healthcare reform will not resolve the epidemic causes of unheard of illnesses, diseases and deaths we're seeing today. I've listed many causes, most of which are NOT lifestyle related.
Carbon tax? Nice concept. You gonna tax the Space Shuttle and big blue and white airplane flights? And your *28* new state-of-the art Presidential helicopters you've got on order? Any ideas of how rocket fuel got into our all our water supplies, anyway? It's been there for decades. Pentagon says it's those pesky road flares *we* use. How about you clean up your own house first before you start dictating how to run ours.
Education, ethics above profits in businesses, Corporations that adhere to their Mission Statements, efficient regulating agencies that are not on the take, consumer education and a helping hand to each other is the treatment. Continued support, enforcement and reinforcement and caring is the cure. It's your job to see that it happens, and it's our job to ensure that you do.
Get proactive and stop taking away the few small pleasures the middle and lower class have left to enjoy - you are not the habit gestapo - you are now the President of a sick, disease-ridden and ailing Nation - get your feet up off your desk, show some respect for your office and the citizens that elected you and start rebuiding broken families, children, the elderly, the poor and middle class rather taking from them and demoralizing them, and stop hand feeding your Wall Street and Chicago cronies, Hollywood, Hillary Clinton who you've sold your soul to, Corporations, lobbyists and high pressure groups... it was the people of the United States who elected you and the people of the United States can also boot you out faster that you can say Air Force One.
The only *change* we've seen since you've taken office is what's left from our paychecks after filling our car with a tank full of gas - when's the REAL change coming - this metamorphosis you so pompously touted all during your campaign?
Get to the root of the problem (Government waste and corruption, the quality of our food, air, environment, water and public education) and your band-aid spit and chewing gum resolutions and reforms wouldn't be needed.

I would suggest a 50% increase sales tax on all those who ran up credit debt beyond their means and on those who bought homes they could ill afford.

Now we're seeing everyone from the President down to the Chamber of Commerce calling on the American citizens to cut healthcare spending. Easy to say. And again, we suffer. Frankly, I'm getting tired of hearing this "unnecessary" procedure rhetoric. When, Mr. Obama, are we going to address the issues of what is making us sick? IOW, *the cause*. I can assure you the cause is not sugar sweetened soda (by the way, have your crackerjack Congress Google "Splenda Toxicity" or any of the other artificial sweeteners your FDA has permitted to be added to our foods, which they seem to think is healthier than sugar. And educate them on the fact that people who drink diet sodas actually weigh more than those that don't - been plenty of studies out on it. Me - I'm still waiting for the clinical trials of those sweeteners via the Freedom of Information Act - been waiting for over a year - they're not sending them. Yet the FDA will not permit natural sweeteners like Stevia to be used as food additives, unlike European Nations. Does that make sense? Makes dollars, though, for the artificial sweetener companies that have padded the politicians pockets - Monsanto - is that a surprise? Imagine that.). How about your EPA establish some guidelines on toxic mold in the workplace? I can tell you that by the time I leave for work in the evenings, my throat is burning and my eyes are tearing - been that way every place I've worked. For those of you not aware, there are no regulations in place for toxic mold. None. So, say if the building you work at has something like a sprinkler system malfunction, and the entire floor above you gets swamped - they rip out the carpets and put in new ones - but nothing is replaced or removed between the two floors. Perfect scenario for toxic mold, and that will make you sick, and it can kill. But our EPA nicely sidesteps the issue to protect businesses and industries. After all, it would cost money to correct, and without sick people, there went 17% of our economy.
So you want us to curb healthcare spending? Get some regulations into place to keep the people from getting sick in the workplace, and teach your regulatory agencies how to enforce the standards already in place - to protect the PEOPLE, not the business. You've sidestepped those regulations for decades, again, to protect commerce and put it above our well-being. SSDD in the USofA.
