Vivian Spieze, director of
the Lancaster County chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)
will speak to the Parents with Special Cares Support Group. The program is free and
open to the public.
As the nation’s largest
grassroots organization for people with mental illness and their families, NAMI
is dedicated to the eradication of mental illnesses and to the improvement of
the quality of life for persons of all ages who are affected by mental illness.
Parents with Special Cares is
an educational group for individuals who have adult children or grandchildren
with mental, learning, emotional and/or physical health conditions. Group
members learn and share from professionals and individuals with similar life
experiences.
