The Annual Shipoke Flea Market and Bake Sale
The annual Shipoke Flea Market and Bake Sale will be held Saturday, July 11, 2009 along the 500-800 blocks of South Front Street in the historic Shipoke section of Harrisburg overlooking the Susquehanna River.
This yearly event, sponsored by the residents of the quaint Shipoke neighborhood, will run from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free. The Shipoke Flea Market coincides each year with the Pump Primers exhibition, which is simultaneously held in Riverfront Park immediately north of the Shipoke Flea Market, and the two events regularly draw large crowds.
Exhibit space for the flea market may be rented from the Shipoke Neighborhood Association at a rate of $5 for residents. Vendors must provide their own tables at a rate of $20 for two 8-foot tables or 16 linear feet of path frontage. It will be an additional $5 for each additional table/8 linear feet. Payment will be collected the day of the event. No advance reservations are necessary.
