Mitrani at Home to hold two-day benefit
event Mothers Day weekend
What
customers buy their moms helps community moms
HARRISBURG, May 1 - Mitrani at Home, importer of home
furniture and furnishings from afar, will be aiding local
family-based organizations by holding a two-day event during which a
full 10% of sales will be
donated to each customer's choice of three organizations
that help mothers take the best possible care of their families.
The beneficiaries of Mitrani at Home's
charitable contributions will include JEWISH FAMILY SERVICE (JFS),
PARENTWORKS and the YWCA.
The event is being held to promote
awareness of family issues and publicly-available programs,
specifically those available to Harrisburg-area mothers. Literature
and representatives will be available at Mitrani at Home during the
event to provide information and answer questions about the
participating organizations.
A mother and philanthropist herself,
owner and matriarch Donna Orbach has always been committed to
positioning Mitrani at Home in playing a significant role in
community service.
During the first day of the event,
Saturday May 10 from
11am-7pm, Mitrani at Home staff will be directing sons and
daughters to unique, hand-crafted gift items from all over the world
truly worthy of mom's praise in Mitrani's expansive, two-story
location on Route 22 in Harrisburg. Specials and discounts on
select merchandise will be offered for the duration of the event.
Featured gift items include small-box items like jewelry and personal
affects as well as a diverse offering of home furnishings that can't
be found anywhere else in the area.
With each purchase, including gift
certificates purchased the first day of the event, customers will be
allowed to choose which of the three organizations receive the
donation being offered as part of their purchase.
On the event's second day, Sunday
May 11 from 12-5pm, a full onslaught of pampering will be
offered to moms while they shop in the order of refreshments and
salon-style services.
For those who say year after year "my
mom has everything," and have trouble finding the perfect
Mothers Day gift, Mitrani at Home claims to have this year's answer.
In fact, to those who think there is nothing their mothers do not
already posses, Donna Orbach, owner, challenges, "nope—give
us two days and we'll prove it."
Orbach confidently added, "We do
this [event] every year and the one thing we can guarantee is if it's

shopping-challenged sons and daughters all the time. What we
