WANTED: Groups and individuals interested in making the ordinary extraordinary!
Trash Cans in Lower Paxton Township are about to get a makeover! The Lower Paxton Township Arts Council is pleased to announce the 4th annual Trash (Can) To Treasure project.
Individuals or groups such as neighborhoods, scout troops, classes, church groups, playgroups, clubs, sports teams, schools, and families are invited to beautify trashcans by painting them with unique, special works of art. In the past, artists have made their mark with everything from graffiti art to replications of famous masterpieces.
This is your chance to become a public artist! Registration forms are now available and can be picked up at The Friendship Center. They are due back by May 1, 2008
Participants can pick up trashcans at the Center, or they can stay on the Center’s patio, to be painted between May 14th-18th. All trashcans need to be completed and returned to The Friendship Center patio by May 19th.
A formal presentation of the trashcans will take place on May 19th.
