For all who work to address the pain and trauma related to the harm from sexual abuse and exploitation, this day is an opportunity to focus on what is known about how to stop it before it begins. This important session offers informations on:
- Individual risk and broader social issues that take away barriers and feed demand including the impact of sexually toxic environment and pornified culture on normalization of sexual harm.
- How to sort through what sexual behaviors and norms are healthy and helpful development versus inappropriate or harmful.
- The 3 P's of prevention: promotion of healthy development and environments; prevention of harmful behaviors and environments; and protective measures.
