On Friday, March 7, 2008 at the Harrisburg Hilton The 2008 Heritage Breakfast honors five dynamic women who exemplify the spirit of Madame C.J. Walker. 
 
The 2008 Honorees are:
 
Apostle Brenda Alton, Kingdom Embassy Inc. and CEO of Holistic Hospitality Community Development Corporation, Audree Ashe, Founder of the Women of Excellence Conference and President of VCW, Shirley Wilkinson, Owner and Operator of "Shirley's Beauty Salon," Deborah C. Davis, DSW, Diversity Manager at the Hershey Medical Center, and Diane Jefferson, Director of Multi-Cultural Student Affairs at Shippensburg University.
 
The philosophy of The Heritage Breakfast is to hold in high esteem women that break through the obstacles that life presents, and through their example give hope and encouragement to others. Each of these award recipients have faced life's obstacles and have a relentless faith in their ability to succeed. Each woman has done so without losing sight of their friends, family, and community.
 
Katrina Ferguson, founder of "The Total Woman Workshop," will deliver the keynote. Katrina is a sought after leader, personal development coach and inspirational speaker.  She delivers a passionate, enthusiastic and entertaining message to both teach and encourage everyone to celebrate their individuality and breakthrough to become their   'greater self.'  Her inspiring message is based upon lessons learned in her own breakthrough journeys. She is the author of Celebrate the Power In Your Right to Choose and co-author of Walking with the Wise Entrepreneur.  
 
 Attendees are encouraged to bring 50 to 100 business cards. The Heritage Breakfast is noted as one of the best networking opportunities in the Capitol region. 
 
Individual tickets are $40.
Doors open at 7:30. The program will begin at 8:00 am.
