The Shippensburg High School marching band was invited to take part at halftime of the Alamo Bowl, and Jaime and I got the opportunity to catch up with them hours before the game in San Antonio while they were shopping and getting lunch. We did a story on them during Jaime's 6 o'clock liveshot on gameday. Then with about 8 minutes left in the first half of the Bowl game, the bowl officials brought the entire halftime show act (hundreds and hundreds of band members from schools all across the country, including Ship!) onto the sidelines to wait for halftime. Some of the Shippensburg members were actually behind me where I was kneeling in the endzone. I got the chance to speak briefly with some of them, and you could tell they were so excited and proud to be there! As they should've been. I was able to watch some of them perform (the Shippensburg members were spread all throughout the formation) and what a job they did!
