New Orleans Saints wide receiver Marques Colston will be honored at a gala in Cumberland County on Saturday. This event had been scheduled before the Saints won the Super Bowl. Here's the info that was provided to me:
On Saturday, February 13, 2010, the United Methodist Home for Children will hold its Second Annual Kenneth R. Arthur “HAVE A HEART FOR KIDS” gala at the West Shore Country Club in Camp Hill. Honorees include New Orleans Saints star wide receiver, Marques Colston (Outstanding Role Model for Kids) and philanthropist, Mrs. Grace Milliman Pollock (Lifetime Achievement Award). We are expecting hundreds of attendees to help celebrate our special guests and their wonderful work with children.
Marques' sister, Takia Colston, will accept the award on his behalf.
The Have a Heart for Kids gala will begin at 6:00pm with an hors d’oevers reception, and dinner will be served at 7:00pm. A silent auction will be held which will include vacation stays, golf packages, and various items from local businesses. All proceeds will benefit the United Methodist Home for Children. Tickets are $100. Please contact the Children’s Home at 717.766.7652 if you would like to attend.
