The oddsmakers don't believe the Nittany Lions can win this one and unfortunately for Penn State fans, I have to agree.
Pete Carroll seems to be a nice guy; but I bet he feels he has the best college football team in the country. And for that reason, if USC gets a chance to blow out PSU and make a statement to poll voters, Carroll and the Trojans will do it.
Thankfully, Penn State's defense can hang with any offense in the country. But I think they'll be on the field too much, because Daryll Clark and Co. will have trouble moving the football and controlling the clock. USC's defense may be even better than Penn State's.
USC has NFL talent at nearly every position and this is a home game for Southern Cal. It will be a defensive struggle for the first 30 minutes, but ultimately USC wins, 23-12.
