Penn State Baseball Camp coming to Harrisburg

Penn State assistant baseball coach Will Hoover, the former head coach at Cedar Cliff, is holding a camp for high school players at Commerce Bank Park on September 14th. It starts early in the morning.

Here's the info and interested players may contact Will directly:

This one-day event is being held to give high school players (grades 9 through 12) the rare opportunity to showcase their skills for the Penn State University baseball coaching staff in a focused, private setting. High school players who may be interested playing baseball at the collegiate level won’t want to miss the chance to meet and workout with the PSU coaching staff. Establish yourself as a potential recruit while taking part in an exciting afternoon of baseball and getting valuable instruction in all facets of the game.

The cost for the Showcase is $150.00 per player. For those wishing to participate as both a pitcher and a position player, the fee is $250.00.

All players must bring their own baseball equipment and apparel to the Showcase, to include bats, gloves, batting gloves, spikes, hats and baseball pants. Catchers also must bring their own gear. Please direct all questions regarding the Showcase to Assistant Coach Will Hoover, at hrspar@aol.com, or 1.800.692.7294 Ext. 2105.

This Showcase is for high school players in grades 9, 10, 11 or 12, as of the fall of 2008. The PSU coaching staff reserves the right to limit the number of showcase players in each precision to allow optimum playing time for players during games.
